Additional Mirage Dragon Information
The existence of Mirage Dragons has been known for centuries. From their old habitats in arid desert regions across the globe, Mirage Dragons plagued many a weary traveler. However, there are very few people who can spot one on sight - even if they've seen one before!
Why are Mirage Dragons so hard to identify? Probably because when they are left in hot, dry areas, they appear different depending on how close you are to them! Two people could be standing in the same general area, both looking at the same Mirage Dragon, and see two completely different shapes and sizes.
Mirage Dragons are also hard to spot because they leave hardly any trace of themselves behind. They perpetually float off the ground, so they don't leave footprints (or have feet). They're also very shy, often floating up and disappearing when seen by strangers.
Hundreds of years ago, a desert explorer managed to capture an Epic Mirage Dragon in a cage. When he unveiled the dragon's cage to an eager crowd, the cage appeared empty. The crowd left, disappointed. As the last of them exited, the explorer entered the cage to find a trace of the dragon; it reappeared, colossal in size, causing the explorer to flee several city blocks before turning around. No one has tried to capture an Epic Mirage Dragon since.
