Even at birth Landworm Dragons are drawn to the earth below them, but these young'uns treat the ground as a protective shield. Like an ostrich, when they become embarrassed or frightened, they burrow their heads underground. As Landworm Dragons become more comfortable with their attraction to the earth below them, they begin to experiment by digging small tunnels, only a few feet in length at first, just to sneak up on friends and surprise them. Adult Landworm Dragons are masters of the muddy earth. They dig tunnels and invite animals who find themselves in danger to use the caves to escape from predators.
